WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
At Turbo Sports our USP is that we have innovated a bespoke sports programme which includes new sports all under the “Turbo Sports” banner.
Within Turbo Sports we have developed these new “sports” to increase pupil engagement because there is no preconceived perception around what a sport may include or how it is played.
For example, if we said we were delivering football you would instantly have pupils look forward to that and instantly have pupils dreading it. All of our sports have been developed using the fundamentals mapped out at each Key Stage of the P.E Curriculum.
Our vision is to provide a high standard of Physical Education inside and outside of curriculum times in line with the national curriculum for both KS1 and KS2 for Primary schools.
We believe that physical education, experienced in a safe and supportive environment, is a unique and vital contributor to a pupil’s physical development and well-being. A broad and balanced Physical Education Curriculum is intended to provide for pupils’ increasing self-confidence in their ability to manage themselves and their bodies within a variety of movement situations.
Progressive learning objectives, combined with varied teaching approaches endeavour to provide stimulating, enjoyable and appropriately challenging learning experiences for all pupils. Through the selection of suitably differentiated and logically developed tasks, it is intended that pupils, irrespective of their innate ability, will enjoy success, and be motivated to further develop their individual potential.
The activities offered and the teaching approaches adopted seek to provide pupils with opportunities to develop their creative and expressive abilities, through improvisation and problem-solving. We are committed to using the sport premium resource in developing high-quality PE lessons, alongside greater opportunities for sporting competitions and clubs for all our young people. We believe PE & Sport plays an important role in making our vision a reality for every pupil, with the potential to change young people’s lives for the better.
All pupils leaving primary school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.
